Yay! A protein supplement that isn't poison! :D

5.0 out of 5.0 by B. Wilson on January 7, 2018
The taste is pretty much exactly what you'd expect. Distilled peanut protein and some cacao! But it's a good quantity, and I love that it has no additives. 100% guilt free supplementation! I purchased this along side the "Naked Pea" & "Naked Casein w/ Vanilla). I've been using them for around a month now, with lots of exercise and healthier food choices(not dieting), and I'm really starting to see a difference.

INCOMING RANT(Not part of the review) I started trying to be much more fitness oriented in the last few months, and from my research(I'm in the medical field) using ACTUAL scientific studies to determine what is safe to put in my body, I came to the conclusion: most "mass gainers" and "flavored protein shakes" are straight up poison or counteractive to muscle gain/weight loss. Anything that ends in "ose" is sugar, and should probably be avoided: Sucralose, Fructose, High fructose corn syrup, Maltodextrin...every few years they come up with new ways to disguise sugars and keep us thinking "oo! this is yummy and healthy!" NOPE! That's a chemical laced milkshake... And I'm not like some vegan/vegetarian crazy person. A lot of the stuff out there is truly bad for your health, and I want to spread the good word.

Final note: If you're trying to lose weight or bulk up, just remember: Average people are average because they give up when everything isn't perfect or convenient or easy. Consistency is the key, and cheat days are NECESSARY! Take them...enjoy them...then get right back to consistent healthy choices, and I PROMISE you, you will see results. Just keep at it! Don't give up! You got this!

Simple, Natural and Pure

This is exactly what I was looking for. There are no artificial ingredients or preservatives. Two of my favorite flavors in one-perfect for adding flavor to milk, yogurt or protein shakes. I've found that I have to add sweetener and substance (milk or yogurt etc) in order to counteract the bitterness. Cacao powder on it's own is very bitter but stevia or a half a banana does the trick. I also love that each serving has 6 grams of protein and way less calories than standard peanut butter. I try to steer away from protein powders and this in addition to collagen powder and milk or yogurt actually provides as much protein as a protein powder would! I also make chocolate peanut butter milk with with stevia and a pinch of salt as an afternoon snack YUM. I have yet to bake with this but I do plan on making peanut butter cups soon with this.
Great Value

I'm reviewing the Naked Chocolate Peanut Butter variant, although their regular Peanut Butter is just as good!

I use this to mix with my unflavored protein powder and unflavored BCAAs after the gym. This stuff is perfect for just about everything you could need it for in the place of actual Peanut Butter (except a sandwich! :D)

Personally, I use it in my protein fruit smoothies and I use it my protein shakes after the gym. It does the job well and the hint of cacao just adds to the already delicious Peanut Butter taste.

Where as, yes, this is kind of pricey for 2lbs, it's cheaper than a lot of the competition and, in my opinion, tastes better and doesn't have any of the strange ingredients other brands have in theirs. It's just Peanut Butter and Cacao.
Pleasantly Surprised....

I've been looking for a more organic protein powder for weight maintence during treatments for an illness and have been apprehensive to purchase the strongly flavored whey powders. I then came across this brand and was skeptical at first...but the fact that the overall cost was compareable to the big tubs of the whey and chemical stuff you can get anywhere pretty much sold me on this type of protein. The whey "organic" versions are, however, much more expensive and I wasn't willing to dull out a ton of money in hopes that I'd like the taste of the other brands while my taste in food is at an all time low. I decided for $20 I could try this type of protein powder.

The thing to note is that this is a peanut protein, not whey. So the protein content will be much lower per serving, a little less than half by my calculation. Also, if you're allergic to peanuts....obviously, this is not for you. I assume that's common sense but in this day and age who knows.

Anyhow, I cracked this stuff open this morning and WOW, it's not bad at all. When they say all it has is peanuts and cacao powder they mean it. There is nothing's great. They have some recipes for shakes on their site as well which is awesome for added a bit of non intrusive sweetness and flavor. We tried the banana with power version and for me it was just the right amount of sweetness without any intrusive tastes or flavors that would otherwise set my gag reflex off at this point in time. My only recommendation is that if you're looking for more protein packed powders, you can double the serving and still get more bang for the buck over the expensive organic whey poweders. If you don't like that suggestion then you may simply want to look elsewhere.

Overall, I'm a fan of this brand. I've tried the regular whey protein shakes from a few different brands, and have even tried some organic wheys. Some aren't that bad, and some to this day make me gag when I think about them. This so far has been awesome, I highly recommend a try if you are at a time in your life when you are sensitive to strong tastes and flavors and if you can handle a mild peanut butter/cacao taste.
Smells like peanut butter the minute you take the lid off

5.0 out of 5.0 by Elizabeth D. on December 7, 2016
Smells like peanut butter the minute you take the lid off. I have been using half a scoop in my unflavored naked whey protein shakes. It is delicious. Really adds a lot of flavor without adding a lot of sugar and unnecessary ingredients - which is what I love about Naked Whey! The peanut butter flavor stands out to me much more than peanut butter and chocolate. Maybe adding it to the chocolate naked whey would make it really peanut buttery and chocolaty. Either way, this is a great addition to my protein shakes!
The Naked Chocolate Peanut Butter mixes pretty well with whatever I put it in

2.0 out of 5.0 by Jordan P. on April 4, 2018
The Naked Chocolate Peanut Butter mixes pretty well with whatever I put it in. It mixed well in a protein cup shaker with almond milk and in a blender as a smoothie with unflavored protein powder, almond milk, and ice. The biggest issue for me is that the taste of peanut butter overpowers the taste of chocolate significantly. In fact, it’s so much to the point that I’m forced to add other items to the shake, like a banana, to overcome the peanut butter taste. This is also not like a traditional peanut butter taste from a natural peanut butter with healthy, fatty oils. It’s somewhat of a flat taste. It’s kind of difficult to describe. I also tried doing less than a scoop serving of it with similar results. I wanted to like this product, but I won’t be purchasing it again.
Perfect for morning oatmeal!

5.0 out of 5.0 by M. Speck on April 12, 2017
I was looking to try a powdered peanut butter, and my sister in law recommended this one. I am super impressed. My favorite way to eat this so far is to add a scoop to my morning oatmeal(1/2 cup oats, 1 scoop Naked Choc PB, 1 tsp chia seeds, 1 tsp brown sugar, and a handful of craisins). Super tasty and the little boost of protein keeps my full until lunchtime most days. I like that there are no "extra" ingredients. I will purchase again and look forward to trying other Naked products in the futute.
It tastes a lot like cocoa powder because it's natural

3.0 out of 5.0 by Christopher N. on November 28, 2015
I bought this to replace the chocolate syrup and peanut butter that I normally add to my protein shakes. I think I had different expectations of the product in that it would taste similar to those. It tastes a lot like cocoa powder because it's natural. Doesn't have the sweetness that I wanted but that's probably a good thing. Still I wish it tasted more peanut buttery to cover up the bitter taste of the pure cocoa powder. I'm happy that I'm eating something natural instead of processed chocolate syrup.
Getting Ripped For Summer? A wedding? A photoshoot? Just for Life?

Amazing. High Quality. If your performance-minded, athletic (or just smart enough to know that everything you stuff in your mouth affects your mood and your overall outlook) this stuff is probably for you. Clean ingredients and tasty. Gave me a great protein boost with a natural cacao caffeine kick that got me through many a long night... without packing on the pounds. Low fat content and just amazing
Great all natural product

5.0 out of 5.0 by Nick Pritchard on April 8, 2018
Great all natural product. Can be used in shakes, baking, whatever you name it! I personally use it in my oatmeal to spice it up a bit and with the low calories it helps with the not going overboard. Just a great product for a great value. One of the only powders that is just peanuts and cacao, no added sugars or anything, pure bliss for the body. Would buy again.
